P.S. 255 @ P.S 007Q is located in Elmhurst, NY. There are thirteen elementary age classrooms: One 8:1:1, and twelve 6:1:1 classes. This site also offers the following cluster classes: Arts & Crafts, Social Skills, Computer, and Literacy.

Here are some of our special programs and clubs:

Girl’s Club 7
Girl’s Club 7’s primary goal is to allow each individual girl to shine in her own way and pace, to learn through play and communicate and socialize in a stimulating, productive and fun environment.

School Store
The school store is run by the students and its clientele are the students.  It is the place where our students come to put into practice all the math, language, and social skills they have learned in the classroom and related services.  It is a safe environment in which to practice without feeling pressured, discriminated, or ignored. It is the place to “hang out” and socialize with friends!!!

Art Club
Designed to address IEP goals over a period over a year and give students the extra help they might not receive in a classroom setting by working with them individually and/or pairing students together using positive behavior supports and differentiated teaching techniques. Art Club is a period where students work in the skills that are addressed in art but need more refining to help them become better students and contribute more toward an independent lifestyle.

255 Tech Squad
The 255 Tech Squad is part of the national organization Mouse Squad. Mouse Squad is a program that creates technology-based opportunities that motivate underserved students to succeed in today’s information society.
